The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Researcher to join our team in Badung, Bali, Indonesia. This position is part of our commitment to advancing research in plant genetic resources and biodiversity conservation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant biology, genetics, and conservation, and will be responsible for leading and executing research projects that contribute to the sustainable management and utilization of plant genetic resources.

📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

Lead and manage research projects related to plant genetic resources and biodiversity conservation.,Conduct fieldwork and laboratory experiments to collect, analyze, and interpret data.,Collaborate with national and international partners to develop and implement conservation strategies.,Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.,Mentor and supervise junior researchers and staff.,Participate in capacity building and training activities for local and regional stakeholders.,Contribute to the development and implementation of IRRI's strategic plans and programs.

🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat

Master's degree or higher in Plant Biology, Genetics, Conservation Biology, or a related field.,A minimum of 5 years of experience in research related to plant genetic resources and biodiversity conservation.,Strong understanding of the principles and practices of ex situ and in situ conservation.,Experience in fieldwork and laboratory techniques, including DNA extraction, PCR, and sequencing.,Proven ability to manage and lead research projects from inception to completion.,Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.,Familiarity with the ASEAN region and its biodiversity is a plus.
